Before joining Carter Mario Law Firm, Attorney Yin began her legal career in insurance coverage before transitioning to defense work to work more closely with individuals and small businesses. She has also managed litigation offices across Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts. Ultimately, her passion for helping people led her to personal injury law, where she could make an impactful difference in the lives of those in need.
Attorney Yin earned her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Tufts University. She is a founding member of the National Association of Cambodian American Lawyers and served as founding Vice President of the Connecticut Asian Pacific American Bar Association. She is licensed to practice in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and New Jersey.
Attorney Yin’s excellence in the legal field has earned her an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a distinction reserved for attorneys recognized by their peers for exceptional ethical standards and outstanding legal ability. Beyond her legal career, Attorney Yin is deeply committed to community service. Using her fluency in Khmer, she assists Khmer immigrants by helping them navigate language barriers, medical appointments, and access to essential resources. She is also fluent in Spanish and Mandarin. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her three children, running, reading, volunteering at several local food banks, and bird-watching. She also enjoys listening to music, especially her son’s album titled “Ever the Optimist."
