Morgan M.L. Schriner is an attorney with a strong commitment to justice and advocacy, now serving clients in Asheville, North Carolina. Originally from a small town in Central Ohio, Morgan attended the University of North Carolina at Asheville, where she designed her own interdisciplinary major exploring the sociological, psychological, and political aspects of criminality. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where her dedication to advocacy and reform was underscored by her involvement with the Anti-Death Penalty Project, the UNC Innocence Project, and internships at the North Carolina Department of Justice and the ACLU. Morgan also contributed as a research assistant to Professor Joseph Kennedy and the NC Center on Actual Innocence. Outside her legal career, Morgan pursues a variety of interests, including hiking, cooking, painting, and reading. An avid traveler and enthusiast of global cuisine, she has even authored a cookbook for friends and family.
