Alan has had a very disturbing relationship with alcohol over the past ten years. He rarely practices any more. He disappears for months at a time. His clients complain. He has very little work now. He sued the State Bar for requiring him to attend AA classes. Then he dismissed the lawsuit. He was an excellent lawyer in years past. Now he is too dependent on alcohol to function as a lawyer should. Read less
