Anthony G. “Mark” Papa is a trusted attorney in the areas of Workers’ Compensation and Social
Security disability law at Harrell and Harrell, P.A.. With a focus on helping
individuals facing physical, financial, and emotional challenges, Mark has
built his career around guiding clients through complex legal systems to secure
the benefits they need and deserve.
Born in the Philippines and raised in
Jacksonville’s westside, Mark’s deep connection to the local community drives
his client-centered approach. He completed his undergraduate studies at the
University of Florida before earning his law degree from Florida State
University College of Law. While in law school, he studied abroad at the
University of Oxford in England, attending classes at St. Edmund Hall, one of
the University’s historic colleges.
With over 15 years of experience handling Workers’
Compensation claims and more than 20 years representing clients in Social
Security disability cases, Mark brings both depth and compassion to his legal
practice. He has earned a reputation for being a knowledgeable and dedicated
advocate for those navigating some of life’s most difficult moments.
Mark is also deeply committed to giving
back. He is an alumnus of the
E. Robert Williams Inn of Court and has
volunteered countless hours through
Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, St. Johns
County Legal Aid, and the Northeast Florida Medical Legal Partnership.
In
recognition of his efforts, he received a
Pro Bono award from
Jacksonville Area Legal Aid.
Outside of his legal practice, Mark enjoys spending time
with his wife—also an attorney—and their four daughters. Passionate advocates
for animal rescue, the Papas have welcomed more than half a dozen adopted dogs
into their home. Whether supporting local causes or enjoying time together,
Mark and his family remain deeply rooted in and committed to the Jacksonville
community.
