Biography

Austin Leighty is a seasoned litigator on Robinson & Henry’s Family Law Team, representing clients through divorce, custody disputes, and other high-stakes family law matters. Austin guides clients through some of the most difficult transitions of their lives while fighting for just outcomes that protect them and their children.

Austin brings a courtroom-tested approach to every case. Whether he’s negotiating a fair settlement or advocating for his clients in court, he combines meticulous preparation with a client-first focus. Austin is especially effective in matters where safety is a concern, helping clients secure protection orders, custody of their children, and the support necessary to move forward — a strength that comes from a distinctive background.

Prior to joining Robinson & Henry, Austin served as a prosecutor for more than a decade. He was a lead trial attorney in the Denver District Attorney’s office, where he prosecuted more than 60 jury trials. In one case, he helped a domestic violence survivor escape with their children under witness protection and obtained a conviction for the habitual abuser.

For clients navigating divorce and custody issues, Austin provides experienced, compassionate advocacy.

Arson Conviction - Secured a successful verdict in a high-profile arson case involving a near-fatal explosion by navigating extensive motions and litigating a weeks-long trial.
