Biography

Brian Anthony Williams is a Partner in the firm’s Fort Myers office. He obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Emory University in Atlanta, GA and his Juris Doctor from George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C.

Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Mr. Williams served as the Associate General Counsel for The School District of Collier County, FL and the Chief Legal Counsel for the School District of Lee County, FL. In these roles, he was involved in various types of litigation including premise liability, negligent supervision, wrongful death, vehicle negligence, employment discrimination, real estate, and construction. Mr. Williams has frequently appeared before Florida State and Federal Courts, the Division of Administrative Hearings (DOAH), and the Public Employees Relations Commission (PERC). He also served as the Chief Economic Development Officer for Miami-Dade County Public Schools, where he drafted the District’s policy and procedures for the implementation of programs designed to assist small, disadvantaged, veteran, women, and minority owned businesses.

In addition to his legal career with School Districts, Mr. Williams acquired extensive litigation experience while working as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County and through his practice at large civil litigation firms in Miami, Fort Myers, and Naples, FL.
