Biography

Brian J. Crews is a graduate of the University of Georgia (B.Ed. 1998, M.Ed. 2000, M.Ed. 2002) and North Carolina Central University, School of Law (J.D. 2013), and is admitted to practice in the State of North Carolina. Brian joined Olive & Olive in late 2015. His primary focus at Olive & Olive is trademark law, working with clients on the multiple stages of trademark prosecution. Brian joined the firm after more than 11 years working for the Division of Student Affairs at Duke University. At Duke, Brian worked primarily with student media organizations, with a particular interest in college radio. During his time at Duke he had significant exposure to an array of legal topics, including FCC compliance, performance and broadcast licensing, copyright and fair use, contract law, risk mitigation, and student conduct. Brian also practiced as a part-time solo attorney for almost 2 years before joining Olive & Olive.
