Biography

Scott Murray is a corporate attorney who focuses on fund formation and investment management. Scott’s practice includes the formation of funds, fund governance and fund economic arrangements, growth and early-stage capital investments, complex partnership structures, and equity line arrangements. Scott also has experience with investment management and broker-dealer regulatory compliance.

Scott routinely advises sponsors on the formation, structuring and operation of private equity funds including buyout funds, real estate funds, opportunistic funds and secondary funds. In addition to those private equity funds, Scott has represented sponsors in other alternative asset classes, including real estate, energy/infrastructure, secondaries, and credit/distressed debt. His practice also includes advising sponsors on GP-led structure secondary and other liquidity transactions, economic, governance and other internal sponsor arrangements, as well as regulatory compliance and fund-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions transactions.
