Biography

Caleb L. Swiney was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2019 and joined Wiles & Wiles, LLP in 2020 as an Associate in the Litigation Department where he concentrates in Commercial Landlord-Tenant Law and Bankruptcy.

After graduating from North Paulding High School, Caleb went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business from Hampden-Sydney College where he graduated cum laude in 2016. He then attended Georgia State University College of Law, graduating cum laude in 2019. During his time in law school, Caleb served on the Editorial Board of the Georgia State Law Review as Business Editor and also served on Georgia State Moot Court Board as Treasurer. Mr. Swiney’s article concerning the Georgia Hands-Free Bill, “HB 673 – Motor Vehicles and Traffic,” was published in 2018. Additionally, Caleb led the Georgia State Moot Court team to a first-place victory in the 2018-2019 Wagner National Labor and Employment Law Moot Court Competition.

Caleb’s previous practice areas include insurance defense coverage and litigation as well as business litigation. He has worked in the in-house division of one of the nation’s largest insurance companies, where he handled premises liability and automobile personal injury disputes. He then went on to represent commercial airlines, airports, and trucking companies in premises liability, personal injury, and contract disputes. Caleb is a member of the State Bar of Georgia’s Real Property and Bankruptcy Law Sections and is also a member of ICSC.
