Cedric was born in Milledgeville, Georgia. He attended Georgia Military Junior College (High School) and Baldwin High School where he graduated in 1984. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served honorably for four years. Cedric began his collegiate endeavors at East Carolina University while serving in the Marine Corps. Subsequently, Cedric attended Georgia College and State University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Political Science in 1993 and a Master Degree in Public Administration in 1997. Cedric received his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Georgia School of Law in December 1996. He was admitted to practice law in the state of Georgia in February 1997.
Cedric is a member of the bars of the United States District Courts for the Middle and Northern Districts of Georgia, the United States Court of Appeals (Eleventh Circuit), the Supreme Court of Georgia, and the Georgia Court of Appeals. Cedric is also a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Ocmulgee Circuit Bar Association and the Baldwin Bar Association.
