Biography

Attorney Chad C. Carter has devoted his career to clients in need, regardless of whether those clients are military members and their families or individuals who have been injured by the wrongdoing of others. In 1993, Mr. Carter obtained a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, and earned his law degree from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge in 1997.

Mr. Carter’s extensive personal injury and tort law practice dates back to the 1990s when he worked for personal injury law firms in both Louisiana and Texas. While in law school, he clerked for a law firm in Baton Rouge and a state district court judge in Texas. After law school, Mr. Carter accepted an attorney position with one of the largest personal injury firms in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Mr. Carter later joined the U.S. Air Force as a judge advocate (JAG) where he spent 20 years fighting for the legal rights of clients in uniform. His duties as a military attorney included resolving personal injury claims and helping Airmen solve personal legal issues, such as debt collection actions by predatory lenders and landlord/tenant disputes. He received a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) in 2009 from the U.S. Army’s JAG School. In 2017, Mr. Carter published an article in the Louisiana Bar Journal educating Louisiana attorneys on how to best represent the interests of military members and families. He retired from active duty having earned the rank of Colonel.

In 2019, Mr. Carter joined Daniel P. Parker and Kevin D. Alexander at Parker Alexander, LLC. His practice focuses primarily on fighting for the legal rights of clients who have been seriously injured in motor vehicle accidents and other personal injury cases.

Mr. Carter is licensed to practice in the courts of the states of Louisiana and Texas. He is also admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces and the Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals. Further, Mr. Carter is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.
