Biography

Chris Siercks was born and raised in a small town in Central Florida. He attended the University of Florida where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 2010. Chris enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2012, attaining the rank of Sergeant before completing his service in 2017.

Chris enrolled at the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association and Treasurer of the Veterans in Law student organization. He served as a peer mentor for new law students and was a member of the Mock Trial team. Additionally, Chris was selected as a pupil member of the John Belton O'Neall Inn of Court.

After graduating from law school in 2020, Chris served as a judicial law clerk to The Honorable Walton J. McLeod, IV, where he gained invaluable insight into the judicial process and effective courtroom advocacy.

Chris then joined a well-respected regional civil defense firm. In that role, he represented businesses and individuals through all stages of the litigation process.

In 2025, Chris joined Derrick Law Firm Injury Lawyers, where he applies his litigation experience and military work ethic to advocate for individuals who have been injured through no fault of their own.

Outside of his legal practice, Chris serves on the Richland County Planning Commission and is an active member of his church.

If he’s not at work or volunteering, Chris is probably spending time with his family and cheering on both his alma maters – the Florida Gators and the South Carolina Gamecocks.
