Mr. Clyde James Jackson, III: Attorney with Burford Perry LLP

Biography

With over three decades of wide-ranging experience, Clyde James (“Jay”) Jackson III has the knowledge to help clients with virtually any type of litigation. Clients have come to know Mr. Jackson for his dedication to his clients and special attention to each and every case. He makes every effort to help his clients by addressing all of their concerns and carefully undertaking innovative strategies that obtain the best possible resolution.

Mr. Jackson began his personal injury specialty at Schechter, Eisenman, & Solar where he handled a large docket of wrongful death and personal injury cases, including motor vehicle collisions, products liability, premises liability claims, admiralty cases, and LHWCA claims. His work involved jury trials in Harris, Jefferson, Galveston, Nueces, and Webb counties, in both state and federal courts. Mr. Jackson continued in private practice until 1998 when he served our community in the Harris County District Attorney’s office prosecuting cases in felony and misdemeanor courts.

In 2002, Mr. Jackson reentered private practice when he joined Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto & Aziz. During nearly seventeen years there, he focused his work on a wide variety of personal injury cases, and he also handled select commercial litigation, including business dissolution, real estate disputes, employment matters, and fiduciary liability. Because of the depth of his experience, Mr. Jackson is frequently asked to speak at legal seminars, primarily addressing recent rulings by the Texas Supreme Court, and he has been recognized by Thomson Reuters as a Super Lawyer every year since 2012.
