Biography

Daniel D. Eckert is a member of the firm’s First Party practice group. He focuses is practice on personal injury, premises liability, automobile negligence, and first party litigation. Prior to joining Banker Lopez Gassler, he served as the Volusia County Attorney for more than thirty years. Mr. Eckert has argued in the Florida Supreme Court and District Courts of Appeal, in federal district court and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Upon leaving county government, the Florida Association of County Attorneys presented him the Professionalism for Local Government Attorneys “Gordon Johnston” Award for distinguished service to Volusia County and outstanding contributions to local government law in the State of Florida.
