Biography

Darren joined Hines Norman Hines in November of 2016. His practice focuses on estate planning and preservation, and the preparation of comprehensive estate plans for individuals and families. This includes providing client service in all related areas, such as trust administration, asset protection planning, business law, and tax law.

Darren is a licensed Certified Public Accountant, and worked in the tax department of large, regional Tampa CPA firms prior to practicing law. During this time, he gained valuable experience in taxation by preparing complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, pass-thru entities, estates and trusts, several large local non-profits, and private foundations.

Raised in the bay area, Darren attended college at the University of Tampa, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting. Darren attended law school at St. Thomas University in Miami, and holds a Masters of Law in Taxation (LL.M. degree) from the University of Alabama School of Law.
