In order to get the training necessary to properly defend those accused of a crime, I spent many years as a prosecutor for the Brazoria County District Attorney’s Office. While there, I tried cases ranging from DWI’s to aggravated sexual assault of a child and murder. As a felony prosecutor, in addition to my normal case load, I was responsible for every drug case assigned to my court. I have worked closely with a large number of police and state agencies and understand how the system works. I have been aggressively and successfully defending clients for many years now and have a keen interest in maintaining a citizen’s rights; in curbing the growing abuse of authority within the criminal justice system. My experience and training has earned numerous invitations to speaking functions regarding the practice of law and the realities of the criminal justice system. I will tell you what the State won’t and I WILL defend YOU, not just your case. Furthermore, in response to the growing need for competent immigration attorneys in the State of Texas, I have expanded my practice. I assist clients in their immigration needs ranging from visas/sponsorships to changes of status and getting bonds set. Finally, my work in the criminal courtroom has developed my civil litigation skills. Thus, a growing portion of my practice includes representing clients with their substantial business and personal injury litigation cases.
