Mr. David Corey Dunham

DAVID C. DUNHAM is a Senior Associate in the firm's Fort Lauderdale office. He is admitted to practice law before all Florida state courts, as well as all three U.S. district courts within the state. Mr. Dunham earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science from East Carolina University. He received his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law in 1993, and was admitted to the Florida Bar the same year. Mr. Dunham's legal practice focuses on medical malpractice, nursing home litigation, toxic tort litigation, maritime law, insurance coverage and bad faith.

Mr. Dunham assists in maintaining the firm's active Subrogation and Recovery practice, with a concentration on catastrophic property and casualty matters involving fire, water damage and explosion cases. Mr. Dunham also serves clients' marine and admiralty needs on major yacht and commercial vessel losses.

Subsequent to completing his legal education, he earned a second bachelor's degree in chemistry from Florida Atlantic Universty. Mr. Dunham gained valuable experience in the formulation and testing of new products for a chemical manufacturer in Boca Raton, Florida. Mr. Dunham assisted and advised the manufacturer on issues regarding regulatory compliance for the manufacture, sale and shipping of its products in the United States and Europe. He is assigned to to the firm's Medical Malpractice/Healthcare Law Division under the direction of Partner Carmen Y. Cartaya and overseen by Partner James C. Sawran.

He is a member of the Broward County Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute and the Florida Defense Lawyers Association.
