Donald Hunt, a seasoned attorney and partner at Hunt & Taylor Law Group LLC, brings nearly 45 years of legal experience to Northeast Georgia. Graduating from the University of Georgia Lumpkin School of Law in 1981, and Emory University in 1977, Donnie began his career as an assistant district attorney in Gainesville, serving as chief assistant until 1985. Transitioning to private practice, he initially joined Smith, Gilliam & Williams, focusing on litigation and municipal law. Eventually founding his own firm, Donnie has since focused on litigation, probate, and estates. His role as a Special Assistant Attorney General, along with positions as city attorney for Oakwood and county attorney for Habersham County, highlight his adeptness in navigating politically sensitive issues like land use and zoning. Beyond the courtroom, Donnie is deeply embedded in community life. He's been active in service clubs, youth sports coaching, and North Hall High School programs. An avid Georgia Bulldogs fan, he resides inGainesville, Georgia with his wife Kathy, a retired professor, enjoying visits from their children Jared and Rebekah, and relishing time with their six grandchildren.
