Mr. Donny Jess Perales

Donny J. Perales is a seasoned legal professional with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from the University of Texas at Austin, conferred in 1998, and a law degree from St. Mary's University School of Law in 2004. During his law school tenure, Donny distinguished himself as a staff writer and associate editor for the prestigious St. Mary's Law Journal. Embarking on his legal career as a prosecutor at the Collin County District Attorney's Office, Donny held pivotal roles, including chief misdemeanor prosecutor, felony trial team prosecutor, and crimes against children prosecutor. In 2008, he transitioned to criminal defense at the Wright Firm, LLP in Lewisville, Texas, where he handled criminal cases across Denton, Collin, Dallas, and Tarrant Counties. Combining his background as a former prosecutor and his current role as a criminal defense lawyer, Donny has skillfully negotiated numerous plea agreements and successfully litigated over 100 criminal trials encompassing all levels of misdemeanors and felonies.
