Biography

Douglas (Doug) Blatecky is a personal injury attorney at Morgan and & Morgan, based out of our Alpharetta office. Doug graduated cum laude from St. John's University in Queens, NY in 2014. There, he received his Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies with a minor in International Studies. After undergrad, he went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, CA in 2018. While studying law at GGU, he was a member of the Moot Court Board. He also spent two years volunteering at GGU's Veterans Legal Advocacy Center, where he assisted veterans seeking health care, compensation for service-related injuries, and discharge upgrades. Doug also received the CALI Award for Alternative Dispute Resolution following the 2017 Spring semester.

After law school, he practiced labor and employment law, where he represented several private employers and municipalities throughout the State of Georgia. Doug made the switch to the Plaintiff's side in 2022 and he has been representing individuals injured in motor vehicle collisions and premise liability cases ever since.

Doug is licensed to practice law in all Georgia state courts. He is also admitted to the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Court of Appeals of Georgia, as well as all of the U.S. District Courts in Georgia.

Outside of work, Doug enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and attending sporting events.
