Dwayne L. Dickerson represents developers, property owners and local governments seeking development entitlements and environmental permit approvals for their real estate projects. Additionally, he works closely with real estate attorneys on land use and environmental issues affecting real estate transactions for buyers, sellers and lenders. His practice also includes the representation of homeowners' associations and condominium associations.
A focus of Mr. Dickerson's practice has been several high profile land use matters that have resulted in favorable outcomes for his clients, including well-known national retailers, utility companies, financial institutions, restaurant companies and commercial and residential developers.
Mr. Dickerson routinely negotiates with town, city and county officials; counsels clients regarding environmental and land use development issues; prepares development applications for submittal to local governmental bodies; presents development projects at town, city and county commission meetings and various board meetings; drafts agreements and performs due diligence research related to clients' potential land acquisitions.
