Biography

Born and raised in inner-city Houston, Ted is a trial attorney and advocate for justice. The son of a dynamic trial lawyer and a product of area public schools, Ted knew from an early age that he was called to represent those in need. His practice is built on strong values that matter deeply to him and his clients alike.

Ted thrives under pressure and enjoys working hard towards a goal. While attending Lamar High School, Ted was awarded first-team All-State honors in lacrosse. He went on to earn his B.A. in Political Science from Texas Tech University where he graduated with honors. There, he was captain of the men’s lacrosse team that earned a berth into the national championship tournament, a first for the program. Upon graduation, Ted returned home to attend the University of Houston Law Center where he was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship. During his time at UH Law, he clerked year-round for Abraham Watkins firm partner Mo Aziz, learning how to fight for clients in wrongful death and catastrophic personal injury actions.

After passing the Texas bar, Ted gained invaluable experience with a boutique complex commercial litigation firm where he represented individual and corporate clients in a wide variety of civil matters. In 2019, Ted returned to the plaintiffs’ bar, sharpening his skills at well-respected maritime firm where he successfully advocated for clients in both commercial and personal injury actions. Notably, Ted was part of the trial team that successfully secured an eight-figure settlement from the jack-up rig designer and the classification society on behalf of a group of international workers injured and killed during evacuation when the rig collapsed in the Bay of Campeche.

Ted is licensed to practice in Texas and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern, Northern, and Eastern Districts of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals 5th District.
