Biography

Tommy Overton graduated from Louisiana State University with a BA in Political Science. He earned his JD in 2017 from Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi. Tommy is a member of the Alabama State Bar and licensed to practice law at all levels of state court, and the United States District Court for Southern District of Alabama.

Tommy’s areas of practice include general civil defense litigation and insurance defense.

Since joining the firm Tommy’s practice has focused primarily on general civil litigation, insurance defense work, and probate.

On a personal level, Tommy moved to Mobile in 2017 after graduating from law school. In the summer of 2016, he married his wife Susan, who also attended Louisiana State University for her undergraduate studies and George Washington University for graduate school. Susan is a Mobile native, and a physician’s assistant with a cardiovascular surgery group.

The couple’s family now includes their son, Edward Thomas Overton, Jr., who was born in September of 2017.

Originally from Louisiana, Tommy enjoys both inshore and offshore fishing, spending time on the water, cooking, and spending time with his family.
