Mr. Gary D. Smart

Gary Smart, a well-respected partner at Robinson & Smart, P.C., has been passionately advocating for his clients since 1991. A Texas Tech University and St. Mary’s School of Law graduate, Gary embarked on his legal journey as a prosecutor at the Dallas County District Attorney’s office in 1989. Transitioning to criminal defense two years later, he quickly earned Board Certification in Criminal Law from the State Bar of Texas in 1995. With a remarkable track record of defending over 100 jury trials, including high-stakes Capital Murder cases, and resolving more than 10,000 cases through various legal avenues, Gary showcases a deep commitment to justice. Beyond the courtroom, his dedication extends to the legal community as a member of several legal associations and serving as a Board Member of the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, where he was President in 2020.
