Mr. Gary W. Fillingim

Gary W. Fillingim is the founder and principal attorney at the Law Office of Gary W. Fillingim, L.L.C., providing representation to the people of Mobile and Baldwin County in the areas of personal injury, workers’ compensation, and nursing home neglect and abuse. With a comprehensive knowledge of Alabama law and a deep commitment to client service, Gary is dedicated to seeing his clients through to a successful result while providing the advice and counsel necessary for clients to fully understand their options and know what to expect from the legal process, helping to alleviate the stress that can come with being involved with the legal system.

Gary graduated from the University of South Alabama with a degree in electrical engineering, before earning his law degree at the Alabama School of Law, where he graduated summa cum laude (with highest honors). While in law school, Gary was selected to the Alabama Law Review, where he served as Articles Editor. He was also chosen as a Hugo L. Black Scholar and received the Dean M. Leigh Harrison award for superior academic achievement.

Upon graduation from law school, Gary practiced law in Birmingham for two years before returning home to Mobile to represent people harmed by the negligence and wrongdoing of individuals, businesses and corporations. The Law Office of Gary W. Fillingim, L.L.C. was established in 1993. In over 20 years of practice, he has achieved numerous verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients, recovering over ten million dollars for Alabamans injured by the negligence or misconduct of others.

Gary was born and raised in Mobile and is a product of Mobile County Public Schools. Today, Gary and his son John Tyler live across the bay in Daphne, where they attend Christ the King Catholic Church. Gary is active in Spanish Fort Youth athletics where he has coached football and baseball for many years. Gary and John Tyler are avid snow skiers and make annual trips to Colorado together. They are also fans of the Atlanta Braves and the Boston Red Sox and attend games as often as possible.
