Biography

Hunter Ames is an attorney at Morgan & Morgan’s Washington, D.C. office, where he focuses on personal injury law with a commitment to advocating for those who have been wrongfully injured. A proud graduate of Florida State University, Hunter earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 2015. He went on to attend the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor in 2022. His legal training was shaped by a desire to serve his community and protect the rights of individuals facing challenging circumstances.

After law school, Hunter began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Columbus, Georgia, from September 2022 to August 2024. In that role, he represented thousands of clients charged with both felony and misdemeanor offenses. He conducted hundreds of preliminary hearings, cross-examined witnesses, and made crucial evidentiary objections. His efforts frequently resulted in charge reductions or complete dismissals. Known for his calm under pressure and tireless work ethic, he is passionate about helping people navigate complex legal challenges. At the Washington, D.C. office, he continues his mission of fighting for justice with the same focus and drive that defined his public defense work.
