Biography

Hunter Odom joined the firm in 2018. His practice areas include public utility regulation, environmental regulatory compliance, energy law, business law, wills & successions, and corporate law, transportation law, commercial litigation, and other areas of civil law. Since joining Marionneaux Kantrow, Hunter has assisted Kyle and Kara in the representation of several different corporate and individual clients on countless matters before the Louisiana Public Service Commission, Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, and other administrative agencies. Additionally, Hunter has assisted in the representation of government entities, private corporations, and individuals in complex civil litigation. Hunter has also assisted clients form companies, formalize business agreements, and navigate complex federal, state, and local legislation and regulations. Hunter enjoys working as hard as possible to ensure all of Marionneaux Kantrow’s clients receive the most superior advocacy possible.

As a Baton Rouge native, Hunter attended University High and Louisiana State University where he received a B.S. in Biology. Following his undergraduate education, Hunter moved to Jackson, MS where he obtained a Master's of Medical Science from Mississippi College. In 2014, Hunter began LSU Law School where he earned the John P. Laborde Energy Scholarship and graduated with a Juris Doctorate and Diploma in Comparative Law. While in law school, Hunter clerked for several entities including the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Louisiana Sea Grant, an environmental regulatory attorney, a trade association, a U.S. Congressman, and two law firms. After passing the Louisiana Bar Exam, Hunter continued his focus on regulatory and administrative law through work at a non-profit focused on coastal and deltaic studies, the Louisiana State Senate, and a national trade association in Washington, D.C.

When Hunter is not in the office, you can find him on the tennis court or out on the water with family and friends.
