Biography

J. Michael Lindell, the senior partner at Lindell Farson & Zebouni, P.A., is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree (English and Economics) from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, in 1975, and later received his Juris Doctor degree with Honors from the University of Florida in 1978. His legal journey began in civil trial law at the prestigious Jacksonville firm of Ulmer, Murchison, Ashby & Ball, where he initiated his career.

In 1987, Mr. Lindell founded Lindell Farson & Zebouni, P.A., and has since dedicated his practice to the Jacksonville community. Notably, he achieved the distinction of being one of the first Jacksonville attorneys to attain Florida Bar Board Certification as a Civil Trial Lawyer in 1985, maintaining this status ever since. Additionally, when Board Certification for business litigation was established in 1996, he swiftly secured that recognition as well.

Throughout his esteemed career, J. Michael Lindell has contributed to legal education as an Adjunct Professor at the Florida Coastal School of Law (Corporate Governance) and Florida State College (Business Law). His involvement extends beyond the classroom, having served as Chairman of the Jacksonville Bar Association committee on Corporate, Banking, and Business Law (2000-2005) and as Chairman of the Fourth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee (1992).

Peer recognition is evident in his longstanding "AV" rating by Martindale Hubbell, spanning over two decades, and his selection as one of Florida's "Super Lawyers" in Business Litigation from 2008 to 2011 and 2014 to 2021. Beyond professional achievements, Mr. Lindell has been actively engaged in community service, with roles such as board member and president of the local Christian Legal Society chapter, involvement in various community organizations, and leadership roles in educational and charitable initiatives.

His commitment to pro bono work is demonstrated by his inclusion in the Pro Bono Panel of Jacksonville Area Legal Aid. In addition to his legal pursuits, J. Michael Lindell is a family man, having been married to Deborah Reynolds since February 1981 and raising four children. His dedication to legal excellence, education, and community service exemplifies a distinguished career in law.
