Biography

Jackson Vause litigates on behalf of people harmed by corporate negligence and defective products.

Jackson works to help those harmed by PFAS and other forms of toxic exposure. He is a member of the Motley Rice team litigating In re Aqueous Film-Forming Foams Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2873. Jackson represents public water systems, individuals who have brought personal injury claims because of PFAS exposure, and state and local governments bringing property damage and natural resource damage claims. Jackson also supports litigation on behalf of residents of Elkton, Md. alleging PFAS groundwater contamination from W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc. manufacturing facilities.

While completing his legal studies, Jackson served as a Law Clerk for Motley Rice during the summer of 2024. Additionally, he was a legal intern in with the South Carolina Environmental Law Project, where he deepened his knowledge of environmental law and regulatory issues, delivered comments at public hearings and drafted legal letters to public officials regarding environmental and community threats posed by air pollution from industrial facilities. Jackson served as an editorial staff member with the South Carolina Law Review where his student note titled PFAS in Charleston, SC: A Review of Pollution, Regulatory Issues, and Potential Solutions was selected for publication.

Prior to law school, Jackson taught math and coached football and basketball for three years at Heyward Gibbes Middle School in Columbia, SC. While at Brevard College, Jackson was an undergraduate student athlete and elected Defensive Captain of the football team.
