Background. Jinoo Hwang was born & raised in Oregon. His diverse background in government, business and education equips him with a truly creative approach to estate issues. Simply put, Jinoo’s background makes him a better lawyer.Before law school, Jinoo owned a successful multi-state publishing company (9 years), actively managed real estate investments and worked as an adjunct instructor for the University of Oregon (16 years). Early on in his legal career, Jinoo knew it would be important to obtain an intimate knowledge of the court system. He worked as a judicial clerk for the Hon. Charles D. Carlson before completing work in the public sector as a trial lawyer & prosecutor for the Lane County District Attorney. Estate Planning & Probate Attorney. Routinely, attorneys entrust their clients to Jinoo as a "straight shooter” specializing in: (1) trust-based estate planning + (2) probate administration. With his notably effective communication skill & emotional intelligence, Jinoo gets the job done with both command presence & compassion. Outside the Office. Jinoo enjoys volunteering his time in service to numerous boards statewide, including: (1) Oregon Board of Professional Responsibility (discipline of attorneys accused of ethics violations) -AND- (2) President-Elect of the Lane County Bar Association. He is a 4th degree black belt in Judo. Jinoo’s greatest accomplishment are his children—graduates of Marist High School, UW & Wheaton College—whom he raised together with his wife of nearly 30 years.
