Mr. Joel M. Baskin

Joel was born in Washington, D.C., and grew up in northern Virginia in a suburb just outside of Washington. In a way, attorney Joel Baskin began learning how to be a lawyer before he ever stepped into the classroom. He remembers as a child wanting to carry his father’s briefcase to the courtroom and always asking lots of questions about the law. Joel watched his dad’s patience and preparedness at work and grew to greatly respect his father seeking justice and helping others. Growing up as the son of an attorney speaks volumes, not only about Joel’s innate understanding of the law but also of his deeply rooted passion for the practice of law and the positive impact he can have on other people’s lives.

He doesn’t rely on marketing himself to bring in cases, but instead, he relies on his good reputation, which he has earned over the last 25+ years of practicing law. Joel focuses on practicing personal injury and criminal defense, serving the entire Atlanta area from offices in Vinings and East Point.

Joel attended John Marshall Law School, earning his J.D. in 1996. Prior to that, he received his B.A. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Virginia Tech) as an English major and history minor.

His commitment to clients and many years of experience make him a sincere and effective advocate. He prides himself on being accessible, seeing the importance of answering phone calls and messages in a timely manner. His dedication to his clients’ success drives him to always be well prepared and diligent in everything he does. Joel treats every client like they’re his last, meaning he works as though each and every case will define his legacy.

As a highly experienced personal injury lawyer, Joel represents clients throughout the state of Georgia who have been seriously injured or killed as a result of the negligence of others. Joel has represented clients who have been victims of tractor-trailer collisions and automobile accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice, products liability, and dog bites.

Joel is married and has four children. Outside of the courtroom, Joel likes to spend his free time reading, swimming, skiing, and traveling with his family. He is also an avid fan of college and professional football as well as hockey.
