Jonathan Coleman Sapp, Sr. is entering his 22nd year as a
personal injury lawyer. He founded The Sapp Law Firm, L.L.C. in 2003 after
co-founding Warren & Sapp in 2001 and serving as an associate at King &
Warren. Born in Gadsden, Alabama on November 28, 1971, he graduated from Hewitt‑Trussville
High School in 1990 and earned a B.S. in psychology with a minor in biology
from The University of Alabama. He received his J.D. from the University of
Alabama School of Law in 1999, where he served as Student Bar Association
senator and participated in the Student Government Association Standing
Committee on Libraries, Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society, Farrah Law Society,
and Phi Delta Phi. His honors include the Corpus Juris Secundum Award, the CALI
Excellence for the Future Award, and the Student Bar Association Leadership
Award. Active in First United Methodist Church of Jasper, he has served on
several local boards—including two terms on the Walker County Chamber of
Commerce board—and is involved with the Walker County and Birmingham bar
associations, the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation, and the Alabama Association
for Justice. He lives locally with his children, Coleman and Mary‑Hargis, and
enjoys travel, CrossFit, and Alabama sports.
