Biography

Mr. Nye is Senior Counsel at Raheen Family Law, P.C., practicing exclusively family law. Jordan is an experienced and trusted litigator and family law practitioner. Jordan assists clients in all areas of family law, ranging from litigating contentious divorces and custody disputes, drafting prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, negotiating settlement agreements, mediating separations, drafting uncontested divorces documents, handling child and spousal support issues, adoptions, and advising clients on property division. Jordan's years of experience, extensive legal knowledge, and intimate understanding of the local courts make him uniquely situated to advocate zealously for his clients. From the first meeting until a matter is resolved, Jordan is dedicated to listening to his clients, advising them on the best course of action, and developing effective strategies to alleviate his client's problems and worries. Jordan understands that family law matters are often emotionally and physically taxing on the client, and he tailors each case strategy to meet that particular client's needs and goals through pragmatic and detail-oriented approaches. While Jordan is a proponent of collaboration and mediation, he is also a formidable advocate for his clients in the courtroom.

Jordan received his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law. While in school, Jordan worked for the Honorable Louise DiMatteo in Arlington, Virginia, where he helped establish and oversee the Arlington County Drug Court Program. Thereafter, Jordan honed his trial skills by working at local prosecutor's offices in both Arlington and Washington, DC. After graduating from law school, Jordan joined a boutique firm where he managed numerous family law cases in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia and has focused his attention on family law ever since.

Jordan is highly regarded for his work with members of the LGBTQ+ community and has the experience necessary for the unique challenges members of this community may face. Jordan has successfully argued precedent setting constitutional family law matters resulting in established family law statutes being applied equally to members of the LGBTQ+ community in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Jordan has been president of the DC LGBTQ+ Bar Association for three years and is currently a member of the organization's Board of Directors. Jordan is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Virginia.

Jordan has a dedicated record of finding the best solution for every family law issue before him and is ready to advocate for you.
