Biography

A successful litigator always works toward achieving the client’s goals in a cost-effective and timely fashion, with a keen understanding of the client’s risk tolerance and constant communication along the way. Jose Barro’s aggressive and client-focused approach to litigation helps clients achieve their objectives in resolving any dispute.

Jose is an experienced litigator who defends clients in a variety of practice areas, with a particular focus on professional liability, premises liability and toxic tort/asbestos matter. He regularly defends clients in high-value complex litigation arising from wrongful death and catastrophic injuries. He also represents clients in franchisor/franchisee disputes, insurance coverage, and employer liability.

While a significant portion of his practice is comprised of matters in Louisiana state and federal courts, Jose has also defended matters in Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas. Based on his experience and accomplishments, he was named a “Rising Star” by Louisiana Super Lawyers in 2017.

Jose is a native of South Louisiana. In his personal time, he volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, Project H.E.L.P, and other professional and civic organizations.
