Mr. Josh B. Maness

Josh B. Maness graduated from the University of Texas in 2001 and began law school at South Texas College of Law in Houston that fall after spending his summer as a roughneck on a Gulf of Mexico drilling rig. It was the hardest and most rewarding work he has ever done, teaching him to appreciate the laborers whose efforts keep America moving. After graduating in 2004, he joined a major Houston law firm but left two years later to serve as an assistant district attorney in Marshall, Texas. In 2008, he opened his own practice, representing hundreds of clients in serious personal-injury cases and trying over 90 jury trials. Today, his tight-knit team thrives on underdog advocacy, prepares every case as if for trial, and pursues full justice across state and federal courts. Outside the courtroom, he enjoys working on his ranch—driving tractors and bulldozers—usually with a cold Miller Lite in hand.
