Mr. Joshua A. Willis

Josh Willis is an associate with Webb McNeill Walker. The majority of his practice focuses on § 1983 civil rights litigation. Josh represents Alabama counties, sheriffs, deputies, and corrections officers in matters concerning use of force, conditions of confinement, valid basis for arrest, and other constitutional issues involving law enforcement. Josh has successfully defended Alabama sheriffs and their employees at both the federal and state level.

In addition, Josh also regularly represents the State of Alabama and county boards of equalization in tax litigation. Josh has also represented county commissions in litigation involving negligent entrustment, supervisory liability, negligent design, defamation, and premises liability.

Josh joined Webb & Eley, P.C. as an associate in 2015 after clerking at the Firm during his final year of law school. Prior to entering law school, Josh worked in Washington, D.C. for the U.S. House of Representatives, where he gained valuable experience concerning the legislative process and oversight of federal agencies.
