Mr. Leon N. Patricios

Leon N. Patricios leads the litigation practice at Zumpano Patricios. Mr. Patricios focuses on health care related litigation, including managed care contract disputes, complex commercial cases, and employment related litigation. Mr. Patricios also has experience in ad valorem tax and family law matters. His peers have elected Mr. Patricios to a list of the top 250 lawyers in South Florida as published in the South Florida Legal Guide. Mr. Patricios is admitted to practice in Florida before all of its state courts. Mr. Patricios is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. In addition to appearing in court, Mr. Patricios has represented clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, the Division of Unemployment Compensation, and other agencies.

Mr. Patricios has also argued issues of first impression in Florida’s appellate courts and has tried cases in both state and federal courts. He is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. While attending law school, Mr. Patricios was Editor-in-Chief of the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review and was also the Law Student Representative to the Academic Affairs Committee of the University of Miami’s Board of Trustees. Mr. Patricios has been elected to Iron Arrow, the highest honor bestowed by the University of Miami.
