Biography

Leonard Carapella is a litigation attorney with the St. Petersburg office. He was born and raised in the Tampa area, and graduated from the University of Tampa with a B.S. in Criminology in 2011. While attending UT, he played baseball and was member of the competitive Moot Court Team.

After graduating from UT, he went on to Florida Coastal School of Law where he earned a J.D. in 2016. While attending Florida Coastal, Leonard was a member of Coastal's honorable Moot Court team, and competed in both regional and national Moot Court competitions. While completing his third year of law school, he became a Certified Legal Intern where he assisted at the State Attorney's Office in Jacksonville, Florida, and also in Tampa, Florida. As an intern, he began trying cases for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit.

Following law school, his passion for litigation lead him to serve as an Assistant Public Defender in Tampa, Florida. For approximately two years, he represented those accused of crimes in Hillsborough County, where he continued litigating several jury and bench trials.

In 2019, Leonard joined Morgan and Morgan to continue fighting for those in need of aggressive legal representation.
