Biography

Louis Holzberg is a plaintiffs’ maritime attorney dedicated to representing passengers and crewmembers who have suffered injuries at sea and on navigable waters. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business, where he served as a Student Senator and Chair of the Information and Communications Committee. These early leadership roles helped shape his strengths in advocacy, communication, and collaboration. Louis went on to earn his law degree from Florida International University College of Law, where he solidified his commitment to a client-focused and detail-driven approach to legal practice.

From the beginning of his legal career, Louis has practiced exclusively in plaintiffs’ maritime law. He represents individuals from around the world who have been injured on cruise ships, ferries, water taxis, charter vessels, yachts, commercial and recreational fishing vessels, personal watercraft, and other vessels. Louis is known for his meticulous and technical approach to complex maritime issues, paired with zealous advocacy and compassionate representation. Clients value his responsiveness, thorough preparation, and unwavering focus on protecting their rights.

Louis’s work has earned recognition within the legal community. He has been selected to Super Lawyers Rising Stars each year from 2021 through 2026 and has been named to Best Lawyers Ones to Watch. In addition to his legal practice, Louis is actively engaged in community leadership. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Jewish Community Relations Council for the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and has previously contributed to the Quality of Life Subcommittee of the Miami-Dade County Community Relations Board.

Outside of his practice, Louis is an avid traveler who has completed multiple backpacking trips across Europe, South America, Asia, and the Middle East. These experiences have broadened his perspective and deepened his empathy for people from diverse backgrounds. That global outlook carries into his work as an attorney, where he remains committed to guiding clients with care and clarity through some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
