Biography

Mark Joye is a nationally recognized personal injury trial lawyer based in Charleston, South Carolina. His practice, the Joye Law Firm, is dedicated to representing people injured in accidents and by defective products. A board-certified Trial Advocate and past president of his state's trial lawyer organization, Mark has dedicated his life to the civil justice system and is known for his legal abilities and steadfast dedication to ethics. Joye has earned the distinction of Martindale Hubbell's preeminent AV Rating (the highest rating possible), was named to 2014 Best Lawyers in America, is recognized as a South Carolina Super Lawyer and was recently named a Local Litigation Star.

As an Eagle Scout, Mark was trained to always “be prepared,” a lesson that has served him well throughout his legal career. Mark's careful planning and preparation, in addition to his sharp litigation skills, have been paramount to his success. Mark has been the architect behind many significant recoveries, including a $262.5 million dollar verdict in an auto defect case, the largest personal injury verdict in South Carolina history.

Mark is also a speaker, author and member of various legal organizations. When he is not in the office, Mark enjoys spending time with his family as well as getting outdoors for hunting, golfing and boating.
