Mr. Matthew Breeland

Matt Breeland has earned a place on the Texas Super Lawyers® list every year since becoming eligible, after being named a Super Lawyers® “Rising Star” from 2017–2021. That distinction reflects recognition from peers and independent research, placing him among the top 5% of attorneys statewide. As lead trial counsel, Matt has secured multiple Top Verdicts® in Texas, including multi-million-dollar jury results. Early in his career, he defended personal injury cases, which gave him an insider’s view of how insurance companies evaluate claims and use litigation tactics to minimize payouts. In 2016, he decided to switch sides, and since then he has devoted his practice exclusively to representing injury victims. Matt is married to Leslie Breeland, an Austin Realtor and fellow attorney. They met in law school and now have two kids, a French Bulldog, and a busy Austin life. Outside work, Matt enjoys cooking, live music, sports, true crime documentaries, and playing very average golf. He’s also finished a marathon and a triathlon and has served as a film screener for SXSW.
