Mr. Matthew D. Wright

With a true passion and empathy for the complicated nature of the estate planning process, a love of people, and a flair for persuasive writing, Matt knew entering law school was a perfect fit. Today, as part of the firm’s Estate Planning, Trust & Probate group, Matt constructs estate legal plans that fit his clients’ specific situation, as well as reviews clients’ previous estate plans and provides guidance on how current laws will affect their estate. Matt also guides clients through setting up long-term asset protection plans, as well as assisting with applying for Medicaid benefits.

Knowing firsthand that life takes unique turns and the legal system can be daunting, Matt most enjoys ensuring clients understand their critical needs at the outset, guiding them through establishing a proper structure when their situation causes them to be overwhelmed and vulnerable, and seeing their burdens lift when plans successfully get implemented.

When he is not practicing law, Matt enjoys the outdoors from hiking and walking his Australian Shepard Sparkle, with his wife Holly, to playing baseball and soccer. He loves supporting the Columbus Crew and Blue Jackets and attends multiple games throughout the year. He is also an avid science fiction reader, as well as a fiction writer, with one novel under his belt.
