Biography

Michael is an experienced attorney and trusted advisor with more than twenty years of legal experience. His practice focuses on probate administration, where he represents personal representatives, beneficiaries, and families throughout Florida in navigating the legal and procedural complexities of estate administration. Known for his analytical approach and practical guidance, Michael helps clients efficiently resolve estate matters while minimizing conflict and delay during what is often a difficult time.

Michael brings a uniquely multidisciplinary background to his legal practice. In addition to his law degree, he holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from the University of Kansas, a Master of Science in Business Management and Leadership from the City University of New York, and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from St. John’s University. This rare combination of legal, healthcare, and business training provides him with a broader perspective when advising clients on matters involving financial assets, fiduciary responsibilities, and complex estates.

He earned his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law in 2002 and began his legal career in the New York metropolitan area, where he practiced in the areas of intellectual property, business law, and contract disputes. During this period, he successfully negotiated and resolved hundreds of matters across a wide range of industries, advising businesses and individuals on contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and settlement strategy.

Michael later expanded his experience in dispute resolution through service as a mediator and arbitrator. He served as an Arbitrator for the New York City Civil Court, Small Claims Division, and currently serves as an Arbitrator with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), presiding over arbitration matters involving disputes between investors and brokerage firms.

In addition to his legal practice, Michael is actively engaged in public service and leadership within the legal profession. In November 2020, he was elected to the Wilton Manors City Commission, where he participates in local governance and policy decisions affecting the community.

Michael also completed the Florida Bar’s prestigious Wm. Reece Smith, Jr. Leadership Academy, where he was selected as a Fellow (Class X) in 2023. The program is designed to identify and develop future leaders within the legal profession and the State of Florida. He has also served on the Florida Bar Probate Rules Committee (2023–2024), contributing to the review and development of procedural rules governing probate practice in Florida.

Originally from Long Island, New York, Michael earned the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America, reflecting a longstanding commitment to leadership, discipline, and community service.

Michael is admitted to practice law in Florida and New York.

Outside of his professional work, he enjoys international travel and spending time with his two Yorkshire Terriers.
