Mr. Michael Gustafson

Michael Gustafson has spent his legal career helping people who have been injured or wronged by others. He represents clients in cases involving car accidents, sexual abuse by people in positions of power, and catastrophic injuries caused by dangerous conditions created by cities, counties, or businesses. With nearly twenty years as a trial attorney, Michael has recovered millions of dollars for his clients in state and federal court. He has also been recognized six times as a “Rising Star” by Washington Law and Politics magazine. Michael has argued successfully before the Washington State Court of Appeals and has tried numerous cases to a jury, securing millions in verdicts for injured clients. He has also settled more than 50 childhood sexual abuse cases, many involving clergy abuse. Michael was born and raised in Milton, Washington, earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington, and graduated magna cum laude from Seattle University School of Law in 2004, where he served on Law Review and the mock trial team. He lives in Pierce County with his wife and three children and remains active in the University of Washington alumni community.
