Michael J. Rosen - A Distinguished Career in Federal Criminal Defense
For close to half
a century, Michael J. Rosen has passionately dedicated his legal
career to challenging the government's accusations in federal
criminal cases throughout the nation.
Graduating from
the University of Miami School of Law in 1974, Michael Rosen's
journey into federal trial experience began as an Assistant Federal
Public Defender in South Florida.
With a desire to
work alongside his father, E. David Rosen, Michael spent 25 years in
private practice. The Rosen law firm, in collaboration with his
brother, Larry, tackled some of the country's most significant and
high-profile criminal cases and trials.
In a remarkable
turn of events, Michael had the privilege of having his son, Jason E.
Rosen, join the firm for several years after an illustrious career in
banking and securities. Jason, now a partner at the prestigious
European-based law firm Ontier, boasts offices in Miami.
As a testament to
his profound knowledge and expertise, Michael Rosen has also served
as an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law for
many years. His courses on Advanced Federal Criminal Procedure and
RICO have enriched the legal education of countless students.
An acclaimed
speaker at international, judicial, and criminal law conferences,
Michael has shared his insights and experiences with a global
audience.
Notably, Michael
Rosen emphasizes the importance of corporate internal review and
compliance programs as preventive measures. He enables corporate
clients to navigate the ever-changing landscape of business
legislation, effectively resolving any ongoing corporate criminal
inquiries at an early stage.
Understanding the
implications of a federal criminal trial, Michael's approach leads to
two potential outcomes: providing clients with the strongest trial
defense or achieving successful pre-trial resolutions. His dedication
and hard work often prompt the government to either dismiss charges
or extend favorable offers to his clients.
