Biography

Nick Govea is a 2017 graduate of the Loyola University New Orleans, College of Law. During law school, Mr. Govea was a member of the Hispanic Law Students Association, and a student practitioner in the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic and Center for Social Justice in the Workplace Justice Project, where he represented workers in wage theft, employer fraud, and misappropriation of funds litigation in Louisiana courts.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Govea was a Social Science teacher at St. Michael’s High School in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he specialized in United States History and Economics. Before coming to New Mexico, Mr. Govea worked on the Federal Affairs Team of the Government and Public Affairs Division of the Texas Department of Transportation for two years.

Mr. Govea is a 2010 graduate of Boston University where he double majored in Political Science and History, with concentrations in Public Policy and Modern American History, respectively. Mr. Govea passed the New Mexico Bar Exam in 2018 and joins the Ortiz & Zamora team as an associate.
