Biography

Nicholas Maniotis was born in West Palm Beach, Florida. He attended Foresthill High School in Palm Beach County. Thereafter, he attended Palm Beach State College on a baseball scholarship. He transferred to the University of Florida on a baseball scholarship and graduated with his B.A. in 1979 and a master’s degree in economics in 1981.

After graduating from the University of Florida, he attended law school at Nova Southeastern University to pursue his love of the law, where he obtained his law degree in 1985.

Mr. Maniotis was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1985. He joined the U.S. District Court of Southern District of Florida in 1991. He commenced his legal career in personal injury and Medical Malpractice defense at a major firm in Palm Beach County.

In 1992, Mr. Maniotis started his own law firm, Flanagan & Maniotis, P.A., where he represented major insurance companies and other large national corporations for 30 plus years.

During his extensive legal career, Mr. Maniotis has tried over 400 Jury trials from start to verdict. He has handled every conceivable type of case, including personal injuries, catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, medical malpractice, products liability, arson, contractual insurance disputes, property damage, construction litigation, condominium association litigation, and more.

Before starting at Lytal Reiter Smith Ivey & Fronrath, Mr. Maniotis had been recognized for top 10 defense verdicts in the country by Courtroom View Network (Court TV). His vast legal knowledge of the insurance industry is invaluable to the representation of clients seeking compensation for their injuries. Even during his defense career, due to his passion to help those truly injured, he has recovered millions of dollars in compensation for those injured by the negligence of others.

Mr. Maniotis is an AV rated trial lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell and his trial experience is unmatched in the tri-county area.

He currently resides in Palm Beach Gardens, with his wife Nancy and family. Mr. Maniotis has been involved in the Palm Beach Community as a youth and high school baseball coach for many years.
