Biography

Nicolas H. Sabet is a member of Greenberg Traurig’s Corporate Practice in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Nicolas focuses his practice on all aspects of corporate and transactional matters, including complex merger and acquisitions, venture capital investments, emerging technology financings, and commercial contract drafting.

In the M&A context, Nicolas provides legal advice to foreign and domestic clients in a variety of industries on both the buy and sell side, including privately held service providers, strategic purchasers, private equity firms and their platform companies. Nicolas also represents start-up companies from inception through multi-million-dollar financings, as well as high-net worth individuals and funds in their investments into early-stage ventures.

Nicolas’ practice is industry agnostic with experience on deals across several industries, including companies in the software, medical, digital infrastructure, food and beverage, IT services, government contracting, and hospitality industries. Clients turn to Nicolas for practical counsel on day-to-day corporate matters, strategic advice on deal negotiations, and individually tailored support during a fundraising or liquidity event.
Nicolas also has wide-ranging experience the esports industry. He advises team owners, influencers, agents, players, investors, and entrepreneurs on employment, streaming/media rights, and sponsorship agreements as well as day-to-day contractual and corporate formation/organizational matters. Nicolas has been featured and interviewed on several podcasts related to esports and is a frequent commentator on the need for increased sophisticated legal representation within the esports ecosystem.
