Mr. Pablo A. Sosa

Mr. Pablo A. Sosa: Attorney with Washor, Kool, Sosa, Maiorana & Schwartz LLP

Biography

Pablo A. Sosa was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 1996. He started his legal career as a civil defense attorney, working for five years with an insurance company and then in private practice, where he defended clients against claims of negligence, medical malpractice, and various types of accidents. In January 2001, Mr. Sosa began representing plaintiffs. With 30 years of legal experience, including the last 25 years as a plaintiff’s personal injury lawyer in New York City, he focuses on securing compensation for individuals who have sustained injuries due to negligence-related accidents.

Mr. Sosa possesses exceptional skills in thoroughly examining the details of a case, identifying patterns of negligent conduct, and effectively presenting these findings to resonate with the jury. His approach is both deliberate and meticulous. In medical malpractice cases, he scrutinizes every page of the medical records, which can extend into the thousands. For auto accident cases, he compiles multiple data points from those moments leading to the collision, including the rate of speed and the relative positions of vehicles and pedestrians. In construction accident cases, he painstakingly reviews construction site documents, examining every log book entry and progress photograph to accurately portray the facts surrounding the incident. This attention to detail consistently proves advantageous for his clients.

Mr. Sosa employs this same methodical approach to legal research, utilizing advanced technology, techniques, and software to conduct thorough investigations of the law. He diligently reviews recent court decisions to monitor any reversals or modifications to legal precedents. By identifying and citing the most current and relevant legal rules and cases, he effectively supports his arguments before the court.

These skills are exemplified in his trial preparation and presentation. Mr. Sosa meticulously reviews each page of deposition testimony, every statement from the opposing party, and all documents that might impact a witness's credibility. His thorough trial preparation becomes evident in the courtroom, especially during cross-examination, as Mr. Sosa methodically establishes facts and addresses any attempts by opposing witnesses to obscure the truth.

Mr. Sosa tries many of the firm’s cases and has secured million-dollar verdicts on multiple occasions.* A native of Argentina, Mr. Sosa speaks fluent Spanish. He helps Spanish-speaking clients build a winning case by preparing and communicating with them in their primary language.

Mr. Sosa is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and all New York State Courts. He is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the White Plains County Bar Association. He also served on the Independent Judicial Election Qualification Commission for the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division First Department, Twelfth Judicial District.
