Randy is a compassionate advocate and advisor whose practice is devoted to elder law and estate planning matters. He represents individuals and their families in connection with the creation of wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, Medicaid and Veteran’s benefit planning for long-term care services at home or in an assisted living or nursing home facility, special needs trusts for individuals with disabilities, estate tax/wealth transfer planning for individuals with taxable estates, as well as working with families to assist with probate or trust administration services. Prior to starting his law firm and then becoming a founding partner of The Law Offices of Hoyt & Bryan in 1999, Randy served on active duty in the United States Navy’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps and worked at a small boutique firm in Winter Park, Florida. Randy continues to serve in the Reserve Component of the Navy JAG Corps, currently serving in the rank of Captain. In May 2008, Randy was recalled to active duty in support of the Global War on Terror for forward deployment to Iraq. Randy served as the Officer-in-Charge of the Detainee Legal Operations Center at Forward Operating Base Camp Buca, Iraq, which held more than 18,000 enemy combatants removed from the battlefield.
